It was 2GB and I use the image tool to expand it to 5GB. Now it can't even boot. How can I retrieve back my previous image? I didn't make a duplicate copy of my original HDD image file :(

this was the message given after I expanded the HDD image:

I followed the instruction but my HDD refuse to boot up. It gives this output:

therefore I use the floppy disk to boot my VM, now I can see my C drive, but how come I can't boot it anymore? it's Win98SE btw.

    Hi,

don't know exactly about the limits of a partition size in Win98SE, but it could be a problem if the size of your new partition exceed this limit. I almost guess it's about 4GB...

gosh...i just recalled FAT32's maximum disk size is 4GB!!!!!!

Guess I can't really recover back this thingy anymore :( but well, it took me another 1hr to clone the old system to VM again via norton ghost 2002 over the network.
