After getting Parallels up and running, I took the Windows disk from my HP Pavillion and tried to load it on the MacBook Pro. I created a VM Item 6 in the install guide tells me to "choose default CD/DVD-ROM from the DEVICES menu. Problem is, the Devices menu is grayed out and nothing can be selected. So, Windows doesn't load. We're not having a very good honeymoon, me and Parallels
I've seen that's a bug when there's no device mounted so you can't select it. Try to mount the CD and then select or type the route to the CD. I agree it's annoying
Ahhh... the dreaded fine print. I can't use an OEM version of Windows. Staples solved that problem for $170. Got it installed on the MacBook Pro, now i can't find it. This is fun...sigh
