    Hello all:
I have an Asus A8JS notebook with Mint Linux (Ubuntu 7.10 with codecs). I now have a Zune 80Gb and an Apple iTouch ipod. Is it possible to set up a Vm with WinXp so that I can put videos and music on my Zune and iTouch without having to re-boot into Windows with Parallels. I bought a Parallels workstation license.

    Thanks
    Alex

    Hello,

I think I haven't caught the meaning - why do you think you need to reboot?

    Best regards,
    Alicia.

Well Linux does not recognize my iTouch and the Zune is read-only under linux at this time. If I install Parallels workstation, then load a VM with WinXP will I be able to use the iTouch and Zune in that Win XP VM?

I can't tell for sure actually but I'd recommend you just to download the trial version of Workstation and try to connect both your devices :)

    Best regards,
    Alicia.

Only trouble I can foresee if the USB/FireWire through to the Windows VM session. I am steering clear of USB in VM sessions since Parallels warned users. No idea if FireWire would even be supported. (And not sure which your iPod uses,)
