    Hello,

I am running Parallels Desktop 26 Pro Edition for Mac, version 26.2.0 (57363), on a 2018 Intel Mac mini with mac os 15.7.3. In this context, I am using a Windows 11 Pro VM. This, by itself, works OK.

From the Windows 11 Pro VM, I use Dameware Mini Remote Control to connect to remote Windows servers of various versions. The version of the remote pc does not matter in my case with this problem.

My issue is that on these remotely connected PCs, I have some weird character mappings. For instance, I try to type \, and instead I receive a '.

All keys work correctly on macOS and in my local Windows 11 VM.

If I use a native, bare-metal Windows PC and connect to the same remote PCs, all keys work OK.

So somewhere, an odd keyboard/character mapping translation is occurring, and I can't figure it out.

Is anyone here familiar with this type of issue, and can you point me in the right direction? I am willing to accept the possibility the issue lies elsewhere (such as within Dameware). I just figured I'd start here.

    I appreciate your help!
