I tried to install Parallels 7 and Windows Vista Ultimate on my Macbook Pro but it crashed and the harddrive had to be replaced by Apple. I am afraid to try to install Windows again lest it crash again. The installation of Parallels went fine; it was when I tried to install Windows after Parallels that is crashed. Any suggestions?
I'm not sure how installing a piece of software or an operating system could be the cause of a crashed hard drive. It was probably just unfortunate timing on a drive that was probably already on its way out. Did you hear any clicking or get beachballs often before the crash? I wouldn't worry with a new drive. I would recommend Windows 7 instead of Vista, though. Steve
