I have been trying for a week to get Parallels and Windows installed on my Mac Mini. I have hit every brick wall in Christendom and am just about ready to break something.

My final attempt is to try to transfer Windows 7 from my laptop to my Mac.

The Windows part seemed to work fine - I copied the Windows to an external hard drive, then connected the drive to my Mac, But then when I try to Create a new virtual machine in Parallels, I select "Migrate Windows from a PC", then I select "External Storage Device", then "Choose", then I select the Windows 7.pvm that is on the external drive, but then I get an error message saying - "The virtual machine configuration file is not found. Try to create a new virtual machine and add virtual discs from this virtual machine to the new virtual machine configuration."

Can anyone please help me. What does that mean. I cant seem to make any sense of this at all and I am just about over it frankly.

    Calgully,
really sorry to hear that. To investigate the issue we need some technical information from both sides, so could you please first start Parallels Transporter Agent on Windows side, click on upper left corner of application window and select Report a Problem, and after that reproduce the issue with error message on Mac side, send us Problem Report as described in http://kb.parallels.com/en/9058 and give me both IDs?

    Thanks in advance,
    Hanna
