In parallels when I try to edit the configurations for the VM Hard Disk, it won't allow me to 'uncheck' the Expanding disk option. When I do, there's an error that shows.

The operation could not be completed

Not enough free space on the physical disk to complete the operation

Now I freed up to 26 Gigabytes on my hard drive on my mac, and it still won't allow me to do this. I also tried expanding the VM hard disk space by moving the slider higher to give the VM more hard drive disk space (but didn't delate anything in the VM). Both methods have not worked.

I have 17 GB free on my VM
I have 26 GB free on my Mac

Why does it say there is still not enough free space on the physical disk to complete the operation?

And also, how MUCH space is necessary, if I still haven't freed enough yet?

    Thanks,

    Amimajime

what is the size of your Mac hard drive, of your PVM file (look up in ~/Documents/Parallels/) and of your Virtual Machine hard drive (e.g. in Windows VM - the size of Disk C:)
