Heavy multi-tabbed browsing -- inside or outside the VM?

Hello, currently I have 5 GB of 16 GB assigned to the VM, and for heavy multi-tabbed web browsing I am using Firefox ARM for MacOS.
I would like to ask other users who are doing heavy browsing (hundreds of tabs) what their experiences are: Have you tried browsers inside vs outside the VM, and what was your experience? Did you adjust RAM assigned, and how much?
I am using Firefox for Mac OS because it allows full screen (with userchrome.cc) and a good side tab bar (Sideberry). If anyone is interested in the userchrome I can upload it. I don't use Vivaldy because it does not have indented (level) tabs on its side bar.
My experiences with FF for MacOS are generally OK even though Safari would be better in terms of performance I think (if it had decent functionality).
