I'm running Parallels 6.0.11828 which is running Windows XP Home addition via a bootcamp partition. My Mac os is 10.5.8. I originally ran Parallels 3 a few years ago. When I launch Parallels it only shows one VM but it creates two VM shortcuts. (One called Bootcamp and one called Windows XP). I have tried uninstalling Parallels and reinstalling (including going to the terminal to get any leftovers). I have tried creating a new bootcamp partition on a clean hard drive, re-installing XP and then re-installing parallels. None of these seem to fix the problem. I would be fine with Parallels as is except that it won't allow me to allocate more than 1 gig (out of 8) of memory and the applications I want to run don't perform well.

    1) Is it possible to get rid of all traces of parallels (I have a feeling version 3 might still be hanging around)?
    2) Does having two drives with bootcamp partitions cause problems?
