Hi, this is the second time I forgot my password - not the one for the forums but the one to get a trial activation key. Problem is that the "forgot your password?" service does not work. I enter my mail adress (any of the two I used so far) and click on "Send". The system confirms that it knows that my given mail adress exists in its database and promises that the password will arrive in my mailbox soon. However, this mail never arrives. This happens with both my registered mail-adresses. Password reset mails for the forum accounts are no problem, only the trial key registration password never comes through. Spam filter cannot be the reason since I have none. What can I do about that?
. I have a customer who had this problem until a version upgrade. The real Adder would never have forgotten his password. He would have written it on a small peice of paper, rolled it up, and stuck it in Baldrick's ear for safe keeping. .
Well, kinda did that. The password for my first account I simply forgot. Learning from that, I wrote the password for my second mail-address in a piece of window, closed it and stuck it in Password Safe for safe keeping. Unfortunately, Password Safe is a Windows application, even more unfortunate, the only Windows I have available is inside my Parallels Workstation, and to bring misfortune (or stupidity, that depends) to an all-time high, the license expired yesterday. Hence, until my firm gets their official license keys from Parallels, I need a new trial key for the current version (had RC2 before). There we are. However, what do you mean when you say "version upgrade"? The last trial key I got was for RC2. Regards, Blacky
. We are using the Linux flavour. When version 2.0 was upgraded to 2.1 the problem went away. He received a new licence key for the 2.1 upgrade, so that would be what made it happy again. That's a bit of a predicament you have yourself in. When you reinstall Parallels, just copy over the Virtual Disk and everything should be as it was. Don't let Baldrick think that dressing up as a woman will fool the Prince forever. Come the wedding night, the Prince will soon realise he is looking at the last turkey in the shop. .
