We encountered the problem that the AMD 7750 DualCore processors - which are listed as hardware virtualisation capable - in our HP dx2450 came with Award Bios 5.61, which denies any setting of that capabilities; and without those, Parallels 4 won't run.
HP support put the solution of that issue to some undefine point of time in the not so close future.
    So what are our options?
    Downgrade Parallels?
    Buy new hardware?
Could there be an alternative bios we could use?
Is there a way to use software virtualization in Parallels 4?

I would appreciate any account of similar problems and what solutions proved to be the most painless.
