Just wondering, if the parallels video driver for linux in v3.0 support hdware acceleration features such as openGL. If yes, how to enable it. From my experience, seems no. Just wanted to confirm.

    openGL in Linux

What is the status of openGL spport in Linux for version 3. Is 3D supported? Why do I get an error message everytime when I type glxinfo:
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Are there plans to support openGL in future?
Will somebody please answer my querries.
    Thank you.

In my testing today, it appears as if hardware-accelerated OpenGL is not yet supported in Linux (at least not in OpenSUSE 10.1) under Parallels 3.0. OpenGL rendering is still indirect... Oh well...

Since they have already implemented openGL in windows, I am hoping its only a matter of time before they can incorporate 3d acceleration in linux too. But the question is, whether this is really in their roadmap. Comments from the Parallels team would be welcome.

OGL for Linux is not supported yet. Someone here at Parallels is already working on it, so eventually it makes it into one of the future updates.

OpenGL for Linux should be implemented, or to be more precise: It should have been already implemented.
Why? After reading the anouncements for Parallels Desktop 3, everywhere had been stated that there is 3D support. So it was the main reason for me to upgrade. There had been no word, that 3D acceleration is for Windows only. This could be figured out only after having bought the upgrade.
I think this is not very fair to customers.
