I have a virtual machine that had been running for 2 years and had gone through the Lion downgrade a year ago.

I rebooted my machine last week and now the virtual machine will not boot. It hangs on

"Trying to boot from Primary Master IDE drive ..."

I have tried the Parallels boot utility. It just sits there with the spinning wheel then just goes away after a time.

Other posts on this problem suggest disk space. Mine system has about 400GB free.
I have run a disk repair.

    Sorry for long delay.

Before any manipulations please make a backup of the VM.

Try to repair your windows using installation CD. Also you can try to use bootrec.exe in recovery console (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392).
