This is the 3rd computer I am installing Parallels Desktop in (and all previous updates on the other computers). Brand new MacBook, Mac OS 10.4. Windows XP Professional installed from new disk. Just downloaded Parallels software with activation without problems. It has never completed booting up the Guest OS, with the startup window stopping at the following point."640 KB Base Memory/524288 KB Extended Memory/Boot from hard drive...." It is not frozen because everytime I stop it, at different times from the time it starts, it warns the the "virtual machine is running". I tried the fix reccomended on a thread where there was a "black screen" visible on Windows after upgrading to the 5160 build (repair permissions in Mac OS, uninstall Parallels, delete some folders, restart, re-repair permissions, restart) without results.
    Thank you,
    Jorge
