Hello, I recently bought Parallels 7 and am running windows 7 Ultimate using the VM. I am trying to play a game and I keep getting a directX error. What can I do? What versions of DirectX are supported? Is there ANY way to actually be able to use my graphics card rather than the Parallels graphics? Right now this product just doesn't seem to promising to me, hopefully that changes. Thanks all!! Daniel
Hello Daniel, Can you please specify the directx error you get? Post a screenshot here to make it easier to understand. Please also specify the game. The virtual machine always uses Parallels graphic adapter - it is a driver which let the virtualized environment to communicate with your real graphic card. Please remember that Windows is a virtual machine and it needs specific branch of drivers to work in the proper way
Since the screenshot I took seems to be too large, here is the link, https://skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?cid=bcae9d4ee84cc8a4&page=play&resid=BCAE9D4EE84CC8A4!163 I'm trying to play just cause 2. Every time I try to load it, it stops and gives me this error.
As i can see from the Google search this particular problem is connected with the game itself and happens no matter if it is a real PC or virtual machine. I am trying to find the possible solution
