I just got off the phone with a tech. We thought we solved the problem but we didn't.

Long story short my VM got corrupt so I had to create a clean VM and then point back to the HD that was in the older corrupt VM. This happened several times actually. So I had two VMs "Windows 7" and "Windows 7 Rebuild". W7 was the good VM in which everything worked. W7R was the corrupt one, but it contained the hd image file that the W7 VM pointed to.

The problem was that there were at least 2 HD image files inside the package of W7R, one of them was the active one, which showed todays date, the other one was an older one. The older one's size was over 40 gig and the current one's was 38 Gig or so, and I was running out of space on my SDD.

What I wanted to do was "move" the real HDD to the good VM and get rid of the old corrupt VM and with it that extra 40 Gig of wasted space. My thinking was well I can just move that image file to my desktop, launch the good VM to make sure everything was hunky dory.

So I tried that and the good VM said it couldn't find the disk image file. That was odd. I put the disk image file *back* in the *pkg and tried to restart and again no dice.

Below I have 3 screen shots, first of the two VMs in my Parallels folder, the second the file I drug out of the VM7 package and now is at the top of the hierarchy of the HD, and finally, what is inside the package of the Windows 7 Rebuild-0.hdd.

    I really need help
