In Windows, if I right-click on a document and reveal the Open With... menu, Mac applications are listed there in addition to Windows applications.

How do I have it not list the Mac applications. I want the Mac/Windows worlds to be completely separate.

FYI: The "Shared Applications" preference is NOT checked. SmartSelect is NOT enabled.

Shared applications might have been enabled earlier.
If this is Parallels 4.0, try manually deleting "Windows Applications" folder (by default in /Users/<username>/Documents/Parallels/<VM_name.pvm>). You would need to right-click on a .pvm file and choose option "Show package content".

I don't mean to "hijack" this thread but I have a similar question on the Mac side.

When I right-click a HTML file on the Mac side, I have TWO Internet Explorer options:

Internet Explorer (6.0) - with an Applications document icon
Internet Explorer (3.2) - with the Internet Explorer icon and a Parallels 3 icon in the corner of that icon.

How do I remove the extra "open with..." shortcut?

Internet Explorer 3.2 is a built-in browser in Windows. On our test machine is only "Internet Explorer" option available, but it is Parallels 4.0. I managed to see IE 3.2 only after deleting "Internet Explorer" from Windows Applications.

Anyway, you can try, the very same way, to delete "Windows Applications" folder, (/Users/<username>/Documents/Parallels/<VM_name>/Windows Applications/), then repopulate SmartSelect's Shared Windows Applications.
    Reboot the Mac if needed.

    Doing this made no difference.

Unchecking "shared applications" fixed it, and after a Mac reboot...

I now have one and only one IE shortcut in the Mac context menu - and it has the proper Parallels 4 logo on it, and that's what i wanted. :)

Solved as far as I'm concerned.
