I upgraded my hard drive and reinstalled my system from back up. When launching Parallels, I got errors that I could not access my USB ports and also could not locate any networks. I uninstalled Parallels and attempted to reinstall, but get an error that it can't open due to error 15380. No Users have ID=0 besides root and I have administrative privileges with my user account.

From another post, I tried downloading the uninstaller and running it. First I got an error that says my security setting won't let me run an application that wasn't Apple developed. I changed my security settings again and attempted to run uninstaller. Got error: The action "Run AppleScript" encountered an error.

    Help!

    Hello @LoriB
Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac has the reached of life and its no longer supported. However, Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac can be installed on Mac OS X 10.9.5 and earlier versions. If you're running on the latest Mac OS, then you may have to purchase Parallels Desktop version which is compatible with your Mac OS.

I installed a trial version of Parallels Desktop 11 since I am running El Capitan. However, I am still unable to connect to any networks. It keeps trying to tell me to plug in an ethernet cable even though my network is wireless. Wireless doesn't seem to be an option. Am I doing something wrong? USB drivers seem to be fixed.

  4. Hello LoriB, try to reinstall Parallels tools manually and set the network mode to Bridge and let us know how it works.
