I had been playing ToME (te4.org) in Parallels 7 running on OSX 10.6. Recently, I upgraded to OSX 10.9 and Parallels 9, and now the game is unplayable - I get a black screen when creating a new character and weird graphical effects when loading a new character.

I know it's not the game itself, because it wasn't updated between the last time I played on 7 and the first time I played on 9 (although it has been updated since - but with no change to what I'm experiencing).

    Anyone have suggestions?

    Hello Bobsson,

Please try the troubleshooting steps below:

    1. (Re)install Parallels Tools as suggested at: http://kb.parallels.com/4841
    2. Shut down the Virtual machine. Go to Virtual Machine configuration setting http://kb.parallels.com/117287
    3. Set 3D acceleration to DirectX9 or DirectX10 and enable vertical synchronization (Virtual Machine > Configure > Hardware tab > Video).
    4. Increase Video memory to 512 Mb or more and let us know how it goes.
