Hi all, my first visit to this forum. I have found Parallels quite fascinating and installed Windows Vista on my iMac Core 2 Duo without a hitch, had a couple of 'buggy' issues with Windows, but overall, great. I like the Vista look very much. Never get me back to Windows full time as I am a Mac addict, but, Windows has a place, as we all acknowledge, or we would not be fiddling with Parallels. My Epson printer, though installed, does not seem to work. Have installed the Office Suite, all working well under Vista. Currently listening to some classical guitar music on iTunes on Vista.

    Now to my issue..........

I have XP running very well under Boot Camp, but the thing is when I want to use it, I have to re-boot, well we all know that, that's why we are using Parallels! So, I thought I would install XP Home under Parallels. Gosh, nothing but hassles. Can't get the thing to work at all. The installation on a new VM, goes as expected, ( apart from the Mac keyboard not seeming at times being able to enable the required function) but gets to a point in the installation where it says XP needs some additional files, 'please insert the XP Home Installation disk??????

What, the thing is already (and obviously) in the drive. A box comes up, and says click copy to add the files, and NOTHING happens, had to abort after 20 minutes of nothing.

Now I suspect the keyboard is not responding to commands, but none of this happened during the Vista installation, was I just lucky, or have I not followed the correct Parallels protocol during setting up Parallals new VM, or what? I will fix it if it kills me, don't like things to beat me, but this is doing a good job!

Look fwd to some informed feedback, thanks for the opportunity to post and be part of this forum
