Not sure if this is do-able in Parallels. I've been using it for over a month now and love it - but one thing that would be REALLY convenient is if the bouncing icon notifications in the dock in OS X would show up when you're full-screened in a guest OS like Windows. So if Mail.app gets mail or a message comes in on Adium and I'm full-screened in Windows, I'll still see the notification.... Any ideas? Thanks, C. Marcera
One thought I had that would almost achieve what you are after: Rather than go to full screen mode, stay in Windowed mode...but make the Window bigger, so that it almost covers the screen. The Window will adjust to the screen resolution that you set in the Windows Control Panel / Display / Settings. Experiment with different resolutions. If you pick the resolution that is one notch less than the full-screen resolution, you will cover most of the screen with your XP machine, but you will still see the dock.
... or get a second screen. Most Macs will run two, and you can run a VM in full screen mode on the second screen with all your OS X goodness still visible on the primary screen, complete with dock, menus, desktop etc.
Is there an way to take up the full screen with the apple 30" display? I just got one and when making the guest go full-screen it only covers the middle portion of the screen (not full).
