I mostly have parallels running in the background and infrequently (maybe a few times a day) need to log in and do something that is Windows-related (win 7).
In between those times I often find that parallels has frozen or the screen is completely black. I have to reboot my mac in order to get it to reset.

Is there some patch I can apply? If not then is there an error log somewhere I should be looking at?

If I need to reinstall Parallels, could someone instruct me how to backup/restore my Windows image? I have quite a setup that would take days to rebuild.

Please let us know the versions of Parallels Desktop and Mac OS X to investigate further.

Please try reinstalling Parallels Tools then observe how it works.

Hello JanM2, please shut down your Windows 10 virtual machine and go to Parallels Desktop icon (two red line on Mac menu bar) and choose Control Panel, select Windows 10 configuration-> Hardware-> Graphics and resize the memory. Please check out this article to know more information.
