    Hi,

I have a MB (2gz, 2 gb ram) with Parallels (XP), build 1848. I have 25 GB of free space and only one XP virtual hard drive on my mac. I have not installed the latest parallels beta update. Today for the first time I used my Jumpdrive in Parallels environment. After I was done with it, I intended to physically disconnect the drive in two steps:

    1. Eject the jump drive in XP
    2. Eject the jump drive in OS X.

After I ejected the jump dirve in XP, the whole system froze. I could not execute step 2. So, I had to restart with force (i.e. use the power button to restart). After I restarted when I tried to open the parallels, I get a message telling me that the configuration file is being used by another instance of parallels desktop. It asks me if I want to override the lock and open the file. Now, I dont have another instance of parallels running on my desktop.

What happned here? What is the correct course of action at this point?

    Thanks.
