While problem resolution tends to be very specific to an individual's particular installation, there are also overall procedures that apply to many users. It would be useful to have those overall procedures in one place or highlighted somehow. For example, I'm on build 5604 and I need to update to 5608. I think I've extracted the correct process through several posts. But it would be nice if it existed in one place for reference. Next I'm on XP Pro SP2 and want to update to SP3. If I search on SP3 I find a number of posts related to specific questions. What I don't find - but it may be there - is the overall process to use. E.G., 1) use auto update to go to SP3, 2) reinstall x...., 3) to update installation cd do y...., 4) etc.. It would be helpful Tom Ryan
