Host OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Main CPU is AMD Phenom 9750 Quad-Core 2.4 GHz.

    Using Parallels Workstation Build 6.0.13976

For each VM that I start up, a process named "prl_vm_app.exe" shows up in the Windows Task Manager Processes tab. Sometimes one of those processes shows 25% usage (100% of one CPU core), and it stays there indefinitely until I either suspend or shut down the VM. This randomly happens even if all of the VMs themselves show in their own Windows guest OS Task Managers that they are using near zero (0) percent busy.

First, since I am always running multiple VMs 24x7, I don't want to have to play a guessing game, or shut most or all of them down to find the offending one. I only want to fix and/or restart the offending VM. What is the best way to determine which VM is associated to the high CPU usage Windows process ID (PID)?

Second, why does this happen? Is it a bug in Parallels Workstation? How do I best go about investigating this with the Parallels support staff?
