I had a shared folder open in Windows Explorer and wanted to rename a file. I accidentally gave it the name of a file that already existed. I suddenly saw two files with identical filenames. When I refreshed the folder view, the listing was reduced by one. What had in fact happened was that the old file had actually been overwritten to accomodate the new one's need for that filename. This occurred without any warning. I am running build 3170 RC3.
