Will this work on my Mac Book Pro:

I currently use a FAT32 partition with Boot Camp and Parallels, OS X can also use it. Under Boot Camp I "Share" a root folder on this partition. On another PC I see the shared folder and sync with it, so I now have the same set of files on OS X, Parallels (XP), Boot Camp and remote PCs.

Supposing I move all the "User" files on the FAT32 partition to an OS X directory structure. Now OS X can see them. In Parallels I use the parallels networked folders feature to access this OS X file heirarchy of PC files. So now Parallels (XP) can see them. Under OS X I use smb to export the root folder of this OS X file heirarchy, so now my remote PC can see them and synch with them. So - again - I have the same set of files on OS X, Parallels (XP) and remote PCs.

I can dump Boot Camp and the FAT32 partition.

Will this work? Will, say, my Visio files, now maintained by OS X, work when I copy them to the remote PC, or when XP under Parallels accesses them?

    Thanks - Lawrence
