just wanted to add a success story
I juat upgraded from 3.0,
+upgraded an existing 3.0 windows XP guest + new parallels tools
+installed a new fedora 9 plus parallels linux tools
i got quite a few warnings along the way but i just kept going with reboot after reboot and it worked in the end.
i did go to runlevel 3 to get a yum update to get latest packages for all the defaults.
then i manually mounted the parallels tools in command line mode AFTER doing the yum upgrade
this failed twice but did get me full X on the 3rd attempt.
i did up the video RAM to 16 from the default 3.
no benchmarks to prove it but the 4.0 does feel faster to me.
