I am attempting to install Fedora Core 6 on my MacBook and after I run through the initial installation it boots me directly to a command prompt. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have tried both the i386 and x86_64 versions... the i386 is the version that boots to command prompt... x86_64 doesn't work at all... which seems wrong because of the core 2 duos 64bit architecture.

    Please help... thanks in advance!

I saw this too on my MBP.

press ALT+F7 to go to a graphic login. (standard on many brands on linux, ALT+F1..6 are different text login consoles, and F7 is a graphic login.)
You'll need a Xeon (MacPro) to run a x86_64 OS.
