Would it be possible to get either an Apple notification or Growl notification when Windows has updates that are available? Also, it would be useful to have notification when Windows needs to be reset in order to complete updates.
Hi RoderickY, That sounds like a useful feature but Windows is a Microsoft product and this feature request should be requested to Microsoft only.
Hi Abdul, I don't quite understand your thinking. It doesn't sound like you understand the original description. Parallels for Mac is used to run the Microsoft Windows product. From my perspective, the Parallels icon is in the Mac menu bar, and I can click the icon to (say) enter and exit Coherence view of the Windows product. Likewise, I am asking that when Windows updates are available, that Parallels pass that information along to the Notification system that appears in the Mac menu bar. I'm not certain why you believe Microsoft would perform engineering work on the Parallels product. I'm of the impresion that this would be a feature that Parallels engineers would need to implement. Thanks, Rod
Hi Rod, Your first post wasn't clear enough. And thank you for letting us know a detailed description of your feature request. The feature which you requested is already available. You will get the system tray icons on the Mac menu bar when you are in Coherence mode. So the Windows updates should also display in it hopefully. Let me know if you get any updates and does it display on the Mac menu bar.
Hi Abdul, I regret to say that you certainly do not understand English. My original post was in plain English. My second post included an example that you have confused with being my main post. I suspect that you are using Google translate, or some such, which is completely unacceptable. Can I please ask that someone other than Abdul inspect this feature request? Preferably someone that understands what the Notification system is under Mac? Thanks, Rod
