I ran across an issue with FreeBSD 14+ (I know it is not officially supported, but happens to work with an adjustment as mentioned below) where if you disable the VirtIO GPU support the VM works in Parallels. After digging through docs you need to edit the config.pvs manually and adjust VirtIO GPU (default) to Parallels Video adapter.

    Manual Edit Walkthrough:
--Create Parallels VM (choose Other Linux, and select image - FreeBSD-14.2-RELEASE-arm64-aarch64-bootonly.iso)
    --Adjust settings as you please
--shutdown the VM, right-click the VM and click Show in Finder, and right-click the VM file, and click Show Package Contents
--edit the config.pvs using any text editor

Search for "VideoMemorySize" and then above it you will see the line "<Type>1</Type>, change this to <Type>0</Type> and then save the file and start the VM

Documented in this community for those interested: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/...silicon-freebsd-14-stuck-on-virtio_gpu.96762/

I ran across this article in Parallels: https://kb.parallels.com/en/124743 , which documented this buried setting

To make users aware of this setting and for any other Linux (including FreeBSD 14+) that needs to adjust this option, and for easy adjustment, could you review adding this option in the GUI? Perhaps add it as a checkbox in the Video settings of the VM? Add it where checked by default (VirtIO GPU is enabled by default) set it to Type 1, and when you uncheck it, adjusts the option to Parallels Video (Type 0)?

    Thank you for the consideration!
