I'm running windows XP via Parallels Desktop on my imac. I need to install and use some PC-based software but the optical drive on my imac is not working properly so I purchased a Samsung DVD Writer. I inserted the first disk and managed to instal one program but upon loading the second one Parallels gave me this message: Unable to connect CD/DVD-ROM 1. A file or device required for the operation of CD/DVD-ROM 1 does not exist or is used by another process, or you have no permission to access it. The virtual machine will continue running, but the device will be disconnected. can anyone help?
