Error connecting to Hard Disk 0

So I have been using Parallels for the past 4 years with no issues. For an unknown reason I am now getting an error when starting my virtual machine. I am getting the following message after Windows tries to start up.

An error occurred while accessing the Hard Disk 0 used by "Windows Virtual"
Note: If you stop the virtual machine "Windows Virtual" now, you will lose all unsaved data
Error ID: PRI_ERR_DISK_WRITE_FAILED *80021027), errno=5 (Input/output error)

I am running Win10 with Parallels 12. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for the response. Tried to do a couple of things this morning before heading out but no luck. I launched Console and have found the following errors. Not sure if they mean anything but basically started perusing when I first got the lag in boot up and issue with my Mac.

If I fire up Terminal I get the following message back

Thanks and for any help and from reading that Kernel it appears it might be a hard drive issue and would need to contact Apple.

I/O error means your Virtual Machine is located on corrupted sectors of Macintosh HD and Mac OS X kernel cannot read its data from the drive.
