I recieve the warning message from Parallels stating my CPU supports VT-x but it's not enabled. It advises enabling this feature within the system BIOS. However when I go into the system BIOS there is no option to enable this feature. I have an HP Laptop model dv2000t with an Intel Centrino Duo T2500 chip running at 2.0Ghz. I'm using the latest version of the system BIOS (F.09) that was available on HP's website. I even contacted their support department but they were unable to offer any assistance. Does anybody have any ideas? If HP has crippled the laptop and permanently disabled VT-x support then I plan on returning it.
. You may wish to ask rather than tell when you take it back, but it sounds very much like VT-x is disabled. .
