Ok, I'm willing to admit I didn't think this through. I have parallels running on my iMac in coherence mode. And everything is going well. I do have one challenge.

I enabled launch vm when selected. But I also enabled exit application when VM shutsdown.

So now I don't have a way to customize the vm, since you can only customize or change settings when the vm is shutdown. But it is never shutdown since when it is, the application exits. And when I launch and select the vm, it automatically launches.

    Help!!

    Thanks in advance.

    joson,

Firstly, sorry I couldn't work out how to put that squigly bit in the middle of your first o.

When you installed Parallels, you would have specified a location for your virtual hard disk. In that directory, you will find a .hdd file, which is your virtual hard disk, and a .pvs file. The pvs file is a plain text file where you can change the autostart, or auto shutdown from 1 to 0.

constant. THANKS!!!! That worked. I figured there had to be a file like that somewhere but had absolutely no idea where it was, or what to do if I happened upon it. You answered both! Effectively saving me hours of a reinstall.
