So I updated my mac to Snow Leopard and lost the functionality of the eject button when using windows XP VM. This button worked fine in the VM prior to my Snow Leopard upgrade. Also as a secondary test, I've got my 6mo. old macbook that I'm prepping for a friend who bought it and it also has the same issue. New install of SL, newest version of PD4 (w/updates), new VM of XP pro w/updates, and eject button does not work. To answer all the common questions in advance: Yes, eject works fine when OSX has ownership of the CD drive (its not enabled on the XP vm) Yes, right clicking the CD drive in windows ejects my CD's just fine Yes, I've tried reinstalling parallels tools I am running a new MBP 13" and a MB 13' bought in Jan 2009. Both are running Snow Leopard, both have 4GB or memory, both are running PD4 build 4.0.3844. Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to fix would be appreciated!
It does not work for me either. The workaround is to disconnect the cd from the VM and eject it in OS X, and then the remount it.
