Edited Disk Size, now VM won't start. HELP!

Hi,

Desktop for Mac 7. WinXp VM.

My VM had a hard drive size (fixed - not expanding) of 96Gb. My MacBook Pro had a 104Gb free space. In the VM hardware config screen, I edited my disk size to change it from 96Gb to 128Gb.

The process ran for about 15 minutes and failed silently with no error messages whatsoever. It left the disk size at 96Gb. Tried it a second time with the same result.

Then I decided to simply try to restart the VM. It goes through its normal process for a bit and then blue screens.
