In future versions (after GA) we plan to enhance CD emulation support. And your program should work well in that versions.
I came here looking for information re: EAC. A couple months ago Ynot's reply mentions GA. Two questions (one of 'em, possibly both, stoopid): 1) Can you hint at when it might be? 2) What's GA?
. EAC is probably coming in the release scheduled for later this year. I too wondered about the GA but just interpreted it as the final retail release. When you asked, I decided to search at Wikipedia. "Insert plug for Wikipedia here". I think it's the last one. GA, an acronym or abbreviation, may refer to: * GA, the postal code for the U.S. state of Georgia * GA, an abbreviation for general aviation, a category of civil aviation encompassing all aircraft flights other than scheduled airline activity * GA, the IATA code for Garuda Indonesia airline * GA, an abbreviation for goals against in ice hockey and indoor lacrosse * GA, an abbreviation for gauge, an engineering term * GA, Gamblers Anonymous * GA, Geoscience Australia * GA, General Atomics * GA, Geographical Association * GA, Genetic algorithms * GA, General Availability .
It makes only sense, if EAC or dBPowerAMP are able to use directly the CD/DVD-Drive, without any emulation! Otherwise the Programs may work but not correctly, like they should! Secure-Ripping needs direct access to IDE!!!
