    Good Afternoon,

I have successfully installed Virtual Machines of Windows 7 and Windows XP. They are fully supported by Parallels tools, and work 100% perfect, as if they were the host OS pretty much.

Today, I did finally manage to succeed in installing Windows 3.1 (though I did it using the 3.11 setting in "new VM"), and I also successfully installed Windows 98. However, there does not appear to be any driver support at all for Windows 3.1 (3.11) and very little support for Windows 98. The only driver I was able to get installed in 98 was the video driver. I can now run at 1280x1024 (I can go higher, but then I can't see the whole desktop at once) and in 24-bit color. But I have no audio support, no audio, a herky-jerky mouse, and no ability to interact between Win 98 and Mac Os like I can with Windows 7 and Windows XP. Also, the extent to which the mouse in 98 takes advantage of the trackpad mouse in my macbook pro is that it enables me to move the mouse, to left click, and to right click...nothing beyond that.

Can we ever hope to see parallels tools support for these more legacy OS' along the lines of what we see for XP/Vista/7? Or if not from parallels, are there any third party apps that would accomplish the same thing? I know that if I wanted to spend forever, and ever, I could possibly piece meal some drivers together, particularly for Windows 98, but the ability to interact between windows and mac directly (a la a windows 7 VM) is one of the nicest features of all in parallels, and I would really love to be able to do the same thing with Windows 98 and Windows 3.1.

    Any ideas, guys? Any leads?

    Thanks and God Bless!
