I have just carried out an 'archive and install' of my MAC host OS.
After this, Parallels desktop will not start and gives the error...

Parallels Desktop is unable to operate properly since it cannot communicate with one of its drivers. Try to restart the application to overcome this issue. If restart doesn't help, re-install Parallels Desktop. Note that Parallels drivers require a short time to be properly started and initialized. So you may need to wait a minute before trying to launch the application.

If I reinstall parallels will I lose the current set up and documents within?
Is there a known way to fix this problem?

    Thanks
    Lindsey

    Thanks.

I have done a reinstall sucessfully now....my virtual machines are still there, but Parallels is asking for an activation key. Is there any way to retreive this as I did not do the initial installation?
