guys, I'm now just trying to get dos the same full screen resolution as XP and Mac OS X. Makes everything about 640x480, even when i've set the custom resolution to 1280x800. Any ideas. Thanks!
Hi, Not to rain on your parade, but original dos was 640x480, if you want to have more the 25 lines x 80 columns in DOS you will have to play around in the config.sys file. Lookup the display parameters in google for DOS and you may find your solution there. If you are trying to use graphic programs under a DOS session, you have to make sure they support VESA as a graphic card and you should be able to adjust the program parameters accordingly. But this is very old stuff.... I know for a fact I threw every DOS book I had which could have answered your question something like 5 years ago. Good luck
