As two other threads mention, the installer script for Parallels 'kill's the Finder during installation. This still happens with build 3214. http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=9752&highlight=finder+installer http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=4648&highlight=finder+installer This is a horrible thing to do: I normally have a number of windows open, and this causes them to be lost. If the Finder really does need to be relaunched, use an AppleScript command to quit it.
