It would be great if you could display a notification in the dock icon when an alert pops up in Windows or when the screen changes. I often install software in the VM and then switch to something else, so I'd like to know when it's finished. Maybe you can just show a thumbnail of the screen (which should be possible to turn off for better performance).

The REAL and BEST solution here is to allow us to have an icon in the dock for each VM Machine. Windows LOGO for XP (These should be USER REPLACEABLE)... Penquin for Linux, etc.

One of the things you will find about Mac Users is that they are very picky about how things operate and look. Aesthetics are of primary importants... and not ease of use... but intelligence of use... is important.

Currently, in most programs, if I click on the configuration file of a program, it will launch that program and load that configuration file.

NOT SO in Parallels. Clicking on my FEDORA configuration file launches PARALLELS's WINDOWS VMS!

    How crazy is THAT?

Also, you currently lock the user from easily replacing your Paralells logo... we should be able to highlight the Parallels program, choose *get info*, and highlight the icon there and copy a new icon that we like in it's place.

YOU HAVE THIS ABILITY LOCKED OUT CURRENTLY.

I've hacked it in on my own personal machine... but this is decidedly most NON-MAC-ISH

    Please change this!

    Thanks!

I can't change the icon... why not? It's ugly... I should be able to change the icon... how did you do it, Bill?
