Display savings on Windows XP guest in Parallels 4 won't save

It appears that each time I restart my Windows XP vm, I need to reconfigure the display settings in Windows XP. It always returns to 1279x584 which is too low a resolution. Note, other changes are saved. I am using build 3540 on the new 13" mac. Thanks for any help you can provide!

 

1400x600 is limit for 13 Macs, and you can get this resolution, if you switch to full screen

1400x600 isn't a screen resolution choice in Windows XP. I checked my Mac System Preference and my screen resolution on the Mac OS is set to 1280x800. I tried to set the guest OS to be the same but again, Parallels doesn't preserve the setting. Any clues? Using the Parallels Video Adapter...

 

Sorry, I mislead you checking resolution on MBP, you are right ,
1279x584 is resolution for Parallels Desktop to feet in the Mac Desktop
you can resize VM, instead of changing resolution (all is from the same stuff - dynamic resolution)
