I've done a quick search and not been able to find much reference to this problem (probably not using the right search parameters! ) but does anyone know how to allow disc burning function to operate in WinXP? Running v.3186 on a BlackMacbook with 2Gb of RAM. Click on the drive within Explorer where a blank disc is placed results in "D:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function"
Sounds like Win XP doesn't know a CD is installed. Open Parallels tools and ensure CD/DVDrom is enabled.. If that errors sounds like windows doesn't know a CD is available. Go to Start, Control Panel, Add New Hardware and run the Wizard. This should install CD driver for XP Restart VM and then check Parallels To;ls to ensure CD/DVDrom is enabled.
Thanks for the reply. The CDRom is fine, since I can insert another disc with data already on it and it will read it. There just seems to be a problem when inserting a blank disc. The normal wizard doesn't crank up. I will have a look to see if Windows has misidentified the drive as a CDROM only.
