Directx 10 not working in Parallels Desktop 8

Hey folks,

I've setup Parallels 8 to boot my bootcamp partition and everything works fine except for directx 10 support. My DDI version under dxdiag is 9EX, not 10. When I click on the video tab under the hardware section, I only get the option to turn 3D acceleration on or off but no option to enable directx 10 experimental support. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

 

With your VM open, generate a Problem Report via Parallels Desktop Help menu and post report ID here.

I should've guessed that. You're running OS X 10.6.8 which lacks OpenGL 3 support which is required for DX10 emulation. Sorry.
