Differential Treatment of Partitions in Parallels Desktop

The Mac OS already treats separate partitions on internal and external disks as separate "devices" in many cases (e.g. allowing them to be mounted or unmounted individually). It would be nice if Parallels Desktop could somehow recognize this and allow the user to mount individual partitions to the virtual machine while other partitions on the same physical device remain mounted to the host OS.
