    Hi,

I am reorganizing my parallels Win XP maschine and I am wondering if there is a diffirence in speed in using parallels shared folders or smb network shares.
Both shares are hosted on the same hdd on my iMac. And since I need to have access to that folders from other, real windows computers, I need to have the Mac OS Samba server turned on anyway.

What are your suggestions for accessing folders on the mac?

I read, that if I need / want to set up a fixed drive letter for a .psf folder, I need to go through "map network drive".
So is there any difference between .psf and smb shares?

    Thanks

    dirk
