Kaspersky Minitab Issue Solved - See Reply

AFTER installing , updating and running Kaspersky Internet Security, I get the following error when I try to launch my Minitab 15 statistical program:

The Aladdin HASP SL Runtime protecting module C:\Program Files\Mi \MtbMessaging.dll could not initialize properly because it is incompatible with the current platform version. Please contact your product vendor.

BEFORE installing Kaspersky, I had no such problems.

Thinking Minitab 15 might have gotten corrupted somehow, I uninstalled (using "add/remove programs") and then reinstalled. But I still get the same error.

All my other apps run fine and I have made no other changes to my VM or OS
(I use Win XP Pro SP2).

ANY SUGGESTIONS? (I have posted a similar message with Minitab.)

    Problem Solved - Never Mind!

Minitab sent me some replacement .DLLs that solved the problem.

So what was the problem - bad code in the product or Kaspersky being heavy handed?

Probably both. Minitab worked fine with my previous AV products (Norton, McAfee and, Cox Communication internet security suite). But it needed a patch to work with Kaspersky.

At the same time, Kaspersky has not (so far) compromised any of my other apps.
