The other week, I had this genius idea to uninstall my Boot Camp XP, and then install Vista. Long story short, I didn't like Vista, so I downgraded and put XP back on. I tried to boot into the Boot Camp XP in Parallels. I went into it, and then I black screened. I thought I would delete the option for My Boot Camp and try to reconfigure it, but it never came back up. I then reinstalled Windows XP to see if it would come up, and it still will not appear. I edited my boot.ini file in XP to not sure the Parallels Configuration.

What can I do to get the My Boot Camp option to appear in Parallels, and more importantly, how can I get it to work? I am on Parallels Build 5584.

    Thanks!

as a first step delete Virtual machine named Boot Camp in Documents/Parallels (or better copy it to external drive), try to start Parallels Desktop application, it should recognize Boot Camp and suggest to create new VM
